A history of successful fundraising

  • 1999

    Fund 1

    A Seed fund, backing some of New Zealand’s earliest tech Founders and helping validate new ideas in emerging markets. 

  • 2005

    Fund 2

    A Seed – Series A/B fund of $21m, supporting early-stage Founders to refine ideas into investable, scalable businesses. 

  • 2011

    Fund 3

    A Seed – Series A/B fund of NZ$42m, backing technology companies transitioning from early traction into scalable growth. 

  • 2016

    Fund 4

    A Seed – Series A/B fund of $110m, supporting companies expanding beyond initial markets and scaling revenue operations. 

  • 2020

    Fund 5

    A Seed – Series A/B fund of $250m. At the time NZ’s largest tech fund ever raised, providing larger funding as both companies and sector matured. 

  • 2022

    Growth Fund 6

    A Late Growth fund (Series A–D+) of $202m, with a more concentrated portfolio of just six companies. 

  • 2023

    Emerge Fund 4

    An early-stage fund offering seed funding to emerging AI and DeepTech companies. With a final close of $45m.

  • 2025

    Growth Opportunity Fund 1

    A secondary fund of $50m, the first of its kind in the country, to buy existing shares in NZ/AUS growth-stage tech companies. 

  • 2026

    Growth Fund 7

    A Late Growth fund (Series A–D+) of $200m, with a more concentrated portfolio of 6-12 companies, and a focus on scaling.
