David joined Movac as a partner in 2006 and has primary responsibility for deal evaluation, driving our Asia strategy, and contributing to investee company Boards.
Prior to joining Movac, David was an entrepreneur and spent 5 years running his own SaaS businesses in New Zealand and the UK. David’s earlier career was as a management consultant for Deloitte and IT program director for large corporations.

Greatest piece of advice you’ve been given? “There’s no such thing as failure, just the failure to learn.”
What’s the best piece of advice you have for founders? Leave your opinions and emotion at the door, and get actual customer feedback. Focus your product on that.
What’s your favourite spot in Wellington? The rugged, rocky beaches along the South Coast. I’ve spent many hours there with my kids exploring the rock pools for all sorts of interesting marine life!
